Power

...........
the source of actions of most is the thirst of power..
let us consider .. how did it start..
in a primitive world... with few human beings..
power of the wild animals.. would be greater than ours, and we made weapons..,shelter to protect ourselves from them, and hunt those less than us.. to eat..for skin..etc
power would be the power to feed ourselves.. the power to do something...
soon it translated to power of one person over the other.. the reason for conflicts is the power struggle that we find prevalent in our life.. even in our so called families.. its more about power than about love.. the idea of being better than someone driving the actions..(okay may be going overboared here but the idea... is more power..)
why do people want money.. its cause of power.. why do we want anything.. more than we need to survive.. it is due to the conditioning of power conflicts in us.
power to control the other persons destiny.. gives a feeling of high.. ( it is no different in essence from the high of taking drugs.. i feel)
the more u get the more u want.. the more u demand..

what is this thirst for power..?
the blasts that occurred ... WHY?
what do these perpetrators want...
why are they doing this?
they are also demonstrating their powers arent they?
they want to cause destabilization, mental disintegration, terror, fear, hatred, communal discord, mistrust...
one of my students is a muslim girl. her husband called her and advised her to not go home with anyone else and meet him at some designated place. she preferred standing all alone at the bus stop in a burqah (if you please) rather than get dropped by us...
what is the reason for all this...?

do these groups feel a high when they do this...? arent they scared of a higher power that they have to eventually face...the power that will judge their destiny...
they who think that they control the destiny of others are mere mortals themselves...when will they learn that they are not what they think they are...

you are right...i just did not want to know...
but tell me something...
what has man got in return for love, or friendship, for concern...?
he has been viewed with suspicion, indifference and ultimately (unless he has the patience to persevere) he gives up or gets disillusioned or gets killed for his efforts (by killed I dont mean only physically but also at the psychological level)...
reaching out to others has its liabilities...people think there is a catch.
i dont think anyone these days knows the definition of love...i admit that there is no set definition but... when a simple emotion like love can be misconstrued how can we even start hoping for peace, Varun?

it is said in the scriptures that the jivatma and the parmatma are one...there is God in everything, in you, in me, in our parents, in our siblings, in our husbands, in our wives, in our neighbour's dog...
do we recognize the God in each other...?
no we dont...
and we never will...
the fact that we cause so much hurt and pain to each other is evidence that God has been forgotten...and is remembered only in temples or during adversities or examinations or interviews...or when one wants to 'introspect' or when one wants to have a 'dialogue'...
when i tell my friends that i love them very much...they look at me strangely and ask me WHY...? so now we need reasons to love one another...right?
